Fronted by Michael Pollitt, aka Mr Black & Blues, who triumphed over Russell Morris and Paul Kelly to be named Rhythms Magazine's Australian Artist of the Year, the band boasts an all-star lineup. Featuring ARIA award-winner Andy Fry (ex-John Butler Trio) on bass and Shane "Steel" O'Neill (The Widowbirds, The Pigs) on drums, this is a band of seasoned, top-tier musicians.
After their electrifying debut performance at Melbourne’s iconic Cherry Bar, the band earned a nomination for a Cherry Award for Best Live Performance. They continued to impress at their debut festival appearance at Blues At The Briars, where festival organisers hailed them as the "set of the day."
The trio has been gearing up for their album launch tour, having already played at several prestigious festivals, including:
- Headlining the opening night of the Sydney Blues and Roots Festival
- Headlining the Xmas Eve Blues Festival at Melbourne's legendary Esplanade Hotel (The Espy)
