Charles Jenkins
Charles Jenkins is a Melbourne songwriter/musician, producer and performer with more than 30 years experience in the Australian Music Industry.
With 21 albums to his name, multiple European and US tours, and two ARIA award nominations with the band Icecream Hands, this artist has built a remarkable career. In 2014, he won the AGE/Music Victoria award for Best Folk/Roots Album, and in August 2020, Icecream Hands released their first album in 13 years, No Weapon But Love. In December 2022, he unveiled his latest solo project, Radio Sketches 2 – The Death of Stars.
A published songwriter with over 30 years of experience, his music has featured in both local and international television and film. His songs have also been recorded by renowned artists such as Rebecca Barnard and Kerri Simpson. He’s appeared on the SBS music show RocKwiz and has co-written tracks with celebrated musicians like Mick Thomas (Weddings, Parties, Anything), Angie Hart (Frente), and Suzannah Espie.
